Ray LaHood urging him to suspend a grant program that would expand the highly criticized practice of creating motorcycle-only checkpoints by law enforcement agencies. Therefore, the AMA needs your help immediately to contact your Representative and urge them to sign onto this letter. Over the last couple of days I have been working on shop infrastructure projects. A friend texted me the other day and asked how my Christmas went. I replied, "Great.

UN-disturbed in the shop just the way I like it" I was able to do a couple of little jobs that were on my list to get the shop in smooth running shape.

I find that a shop will not run at its peak efficiency until these jobs kinds of jobs get done. I have seen shops that never do anything to improve the workflow, ergonomics and workspace needs of the folks working there. In the old days when the shop got slow the boss would have you do some of these jobs to make things run smoother when the real work came rolling back in.

Over a period of years of this cycle you end up with a really nice shop setup.

As an example I did a time study many years ago just for fun. Bambinelli blessing at church on Gaudete Sunday, the third of Advent, for the baby Jesus from the family creche at home The children enter in procession with the priest who prays this blessing prior to the Mass and blesses the images of the Christ Child with holy water: "God our Father, you loved us so much you sent us your only Son, Jesus, born of the Virgin Mary, to save us and lead us back to you. "We pray that, with your blessing, these images of Jesus might be a sign of your presence and love in our homes. "Good Father, give your blessing to all who gather with us this Christmas, family and friends. "Open our hearts, that we might receive Jesus in joy, do always what he asks of us and see him in those who need our love. "We ask this in the name of Jesus, your beloved Son, who came to give peace to the world. You who live and reign forever and ever. Amen. ". nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. The liturgical actions signify what the Word of God expresses: both his free initiative and his people's response of faith. There is a lot of talk at this point about the desirability of Republicans who don't want Trump to be nominated uniting around a single candidate. One problem with that proposal is that the candidate that the establishment wants to unite around is at this point Rubio, while the only candidate anywhere close to Trump in delegate count is Cruz. But there is another problem. Suppose all but one of Trump's opponents pulls out of the race. Some of their votes in future primaries will go to Trump. He is currently getting close to half the votes in primaries—with those extra votes he might go over half. That could easily result in his getting to the convention with a majority of the delegates, at which point the game is over. Various people, including Donald Trump, have suggested that Obama was not born in the U. S. and may be a Muslim. The former claim, while it may be false, is not absurd—there is no obvious way of being certain of the details of the birth more than fifty years ago of someone of no particular prominence.

The claim he is a Muslim, on the other hand, has at least two serious problems.

If Obama has managed to do that through most of two terms without anyone noticing, he is a very talented man. A second binding obligation is to fast through the month of Ramadan—neither eat nor drink in daylight hours. S. and that the U. S. is in various ways more libertarian than the U. K.

His explanation was that the IP draws its support almost entirely from a single issue—Euroskepticism.

The map of the College is now up. Not nearly as nice as the map for Harald, which was done for me by a generous professional, but at least it shows where everything is. There are a lot of different things going on in libertarian reactions to Ron Paul in general and the quotes from the Ron Paul newsletters in particular. One of them, I think, is a culture clash between different sorts of libertarians, signaled in part by Virginia Postrel's use of "Cosmopolitan" and other people's reaction to it, in part by the language used by people on both sides.

The former group see the latter as wimps, the latter see the former as boors.

S. population. Sometimes it just makes sense to fix things yourself. The air deflector on my van was scraping on the road whenever I hit a bump. It would really catch on parking lot blocks and curbs. So I parked it on some bricks and crawled under there to see what was the matter. First there is a plastic piece that is missing.

Second the bolts that are there do not line up to catch the holes in the plastic.

In the first picture you can see the over all view with the two white metal straps. Ever notice that I don't ever post graphics that show that I'm a certain book or character or brand of disposable lighter or whatnot?I don't know why other folks, often very talented and interesting bloggers, want to use such filler. About the only one that I've seen lately that impressed me was one that said how much of a Mauser nut you are. ”In assembling this list, the editorial staff emphasized one key question: What have you done for us lately? They also considered its important corollary: What will you do for us tomorrow?Ranked high on this list was Ed Zander, CEO, Motorola, Inc. with the slimmed-down handsets leading the charge, Motorola looks stronger than ever. PhytoMedical Technologies, Inc. , Ltd.

Such an encouragement! Why could it not be that God allowed evil because it will bring us all to a far greater glory and joy than we would have had otherwise? Isn't it possible that the eventual glory and joy we will know will be infinitely greater than it would have been had there been no evil? What if that future world will somehow be greater for having once been broken and lost? If such is the case, that would truly mean the utter defeat of evil.

Evil would not just be an obstacle to our beauty and bliss, but it will have only made it better. And apart from sin and evil we would never have seen the courage of God, or the astonishing extent of his love, or the glolry of a deity who lays aside his glory and goes to the cross. For us here in this life, the thought of God's glory is rather remote and abstract.

That is what we are in for, nothing less.

And according to the Bible, that glorious beauty, and our enjoyment of it, has been immeasurable enhanced by Christ's redemption of us from evil and death.

My new friend Amy has inspired me to get my creative blog juices flowing and so I have been planning new ideas for the blog and I am going to be dedicating the next few months to finding incredible women artists to share with you.

One of the things I intended from the beginning is to connect creative women and to feature their art for others to enjoy. Please send me pics of what you are currently working on, creating, decorating etc. and I will post pics to share with everyone else. This serves a dual purpose. One, it showcases your work and I will link to your email or website so you can sell your wares if you so desire and two, it just may inspire another visitor to start a project herself. Talking to Amy today about our blogging and learning by having more mistakes than successes, reminded me how much easier everything is when we support each other. We laughed about each others blogging bloopers and it takes away any of the fears I have about not knowing enough. I'll be taking a much needed break from blogging after Christmas. While I'm having a rest, you'll see some archival posts on in all honesty. I've also been thinking about next year on in all honesty. I'm not planning to tackle one series each term - it's too much pressure for this blogger! Instead, I'll run with several series, and post on them gradually during the year. I don't know exactly what they'll be.

But here's some ideas.

A reminder that theological reading is within the reach of all us us. Really!I believe many who find that ‘nothing happens’ when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a tough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand. S. Lewis, introduction to Athanasius' On the incarnation. Ok, so this is kind of gross, but funny all the same. "Did you do a poo?""I not poo-ey. I burt! I burted, Mummy!"I'll let you figure that one out. We’ve had a miracle over nature, a miracle over the Devil, a miracle over disease, and a miracle over death. Christ has shown His power over all four. You can not know God or have a relationship with Jesus Christ from a textbook.

Today, I'll be covering the fourth book in the series, Hades: Lord of the Dead.

You're going to be seeing this image a lot. Today we turn our attention to that misunderstood denizen of the Underworld, Zeus's big brother and gloomy lord of the dead, Hades. Above and below we see a couple of early cover concepts for Hades's book. That was what the book was going to called for a long time, a translation of his familiar epithet, Pluto. In fact, if you have an early enough printing of one of the first three Olympians books, you'll see the original title on the back with the little Olympians covers. As work progressed on Hades, however, my editors felt that the subtitle The Wealthy One was too obscure, and changed the subtitle to the more marketable Lord of the Dead. I was initially bummed about the change, but I've met no shortage of fans who echoed the feelings of my publisher, so I guess they were right. This book was nominated for the Booker Prize in the year the winner was Iris Murdoch's The Sea, the Sea. Oddly, as it's a fun read, it's one of the saddest books I've ever read and a scathing indictment on the smallness of people in small towns. It's true that everybody who wants to be a big fish will find a pond small enough where they can be the biggest one of all. I honestly cared about the main character. By making a success of a business so impractical, she invites the hostility of the town's less prosperous shopkeepers.

This is the original introduction:. Well it turns out that President Obama might have more than one skeleton, or Billy, in his closet who he himself brought to light in his book, "Dreams From My Father. Although I was not conscious of it, I was alive when Herbert Hoover was elected President of the United States. From my kindergarten year into my senior year of high school, Franklin Delono Roosevelt was President. I was in the Korean War when Truman fired General MacArthur. Since then I have been very conscious of all of the Presidents and remember certain events, good and bad, in of their presidencies. My conviction, looking back on all of these years, is not that the American people have collective wisdom in electing the next president, but that we have a maximum of two terms for any one president. New Gas Works diorama under way. It won't be a working railway, which is a shame, as it's starting to look like it would be great fun! Next job - sink the rails into the asphalt. Primer coat goes on, Blues go out! While struggling to handle the tension of listening to the Liverpool v Everton cup semi final, I retreated to my shed with my lucky radio and red scarf. A bit of priming went on, along with a few livery coats on a couple of wagons and a carriage, but I was finding it hard to concentrate. And when Carroll scored L'pool's winner at the end, I almost spilt dirty thinners all down my kecks! In my present euphoria, I'm thinking of not painting the Knightwing shunter red instead of yellow, as originally planned. Why this Question Matters. “And God said: Let the earth bring forth the living creature in its kind, cattle and creeping things, and beasts of the earth, according to their kinds. And it was so done. And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds, and cattle, and everything that creeps on the earth after its kind. And God saw that it was good. And he said: Let us make man to our image and likeness: and let him have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the beasts, and the whole earth, and every creeping creature that moves upon the earth. And God created man to his own image: to the image of God he created him: male and female he created them. And God blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and all living creatures that move upon the earth. And God said: Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed upon the earth, and all trees that have in themselves seed of their own kind, to be your meat: And to all beasts of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to all that move upon the earth, and wherein there is life, that they may have to feed upon. And it was so done. I used to copy DVDs quite happily using dvd shrink. .
